Antique Victorian solid silver & mother of pearl folding pocket pen/fruit knife circa 1864.
This is an antique, mid 19th-century Victorian, silver & mother of pearl penknife/fruit knife/pocket folding knife.
The blade of the knife has clear hallmarks for Sheffield, the year (W) 1864 and the makers marks for (T.M) Thomas Marples: of Arundel Street, Sheffield.
The knife has genuine mother of pearl panels on both sides and a silver blank cartouche on one of the sides.
The overall condition is good for a 157 year old pocket knife with just a few scratches and tarnishing on the handle and blade.
Please take a careful look at the photos as this makes part of my description.
